Late Sri Kothapally Christ Das was born on 6th December 1932 to the blessed parents, Sri Kothapally Jonathan and Smt. Sharamma.

He pursued his education at Mahbubia High School, Warangal, Methodist Boys High School, Hyderabad, and Preston Institute, Jangaon.

Sri Christ Das was a synonym for discipline, dedication and commitment. During his lifetime, he rendered valuable services in the RTC, Police Department, and later served as Warden at Preston Institute, Jangaon.

He was a God-fearing person, a man of strong moral values, and a great lover of the English language. He was also an excellent football player.

At Preston Institute, he influenced and guided many students through his discipline, commitment and personal example. Many of those students later settled successfully in India and abroad, and they continued to remember with respect the discipline and guidance of Christ Das Sir.

Out of his passion for the English language and his deep desire to provide quality education to the children of Ghanpur Station, he started an English Medium School in Ghanpur Station in 1984, with just 25 students on roll.

He had a great vision and a cherished dream that the school should one day grow into a large and prestigious High School.

Due to ill health, he went to be with the Lord on 20th April 1986. Though his earthly journey came to an end, the mission entrusted to him by the grace of God continued.

His sons faithfully carried forward his vision and mission. With dedication and commitment, they developed and upgraded the institution, and by 2010, St Thomas High School had grown into one of the major educational institutions in the area, with nearly 2,000 students.

The life of Late Sri Kothapally Christ Das continues to inspire us. His legacy of discipline, education, faith and service lives on through the institution he founded and through the thousands of lives touched by his vision.
